AGILE TANKER

The KC-390 MILLENNIUM can refuel both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, operating at speeds from 120 KCAS to 300 KCAS and at altitudes from 2,000 ft to 32,000 ft.
The KC-390 MILLENNIUM can also operate as a receiver through a refueling probe installed on the upper-forward fuselage, demonstrating excellent characteristics for aerial refueling. The higher speeds of the KC-390 reduces workload for the receiver pilots:
FEATURES
- High Speed AAR: 180 to 300 KCAS – Up to 32,000 ft.
- Low Speed AAR: 120 to 140 KCAS – From 2,000 ft up to 10,000 ft.
- Up to 3x Roll-on/Roll-off Fuselage Fuel Tanks – 8,800 lbs. of fuel in each tank
FEATURES
- Refueling rate up to 400 U.S. GPM @ 55 PSIG
- All fuel tanks can be refueled in flight
- Boom receptacle as a possible option
Capability to refuel fighters at Higher speeds and altitudes
Roll-on/Roll-off fuselage fuel tanks can add almost 26,000 lb of fuel, quickly increasing range and offload capacity.

CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS
TACTICAL AIR TANKER
A tanker that isn’t too big or small, but is just right, enables less predictable locations. This unlocks the ability to have “fake” tanker tracks, preventing adversary from reverse calculating the most likely pathways for fighters returning for gas.
Strategic tankers attend less fighters at predictable locations to adversary, which has few targets to mass against the tankers.

More affordable tankers = More tankers acquired = More tanker tracks,
resulting in less choke points and more refueling drogues available.
Strategic tankers attend less fighters at predictable locations to adversary, which has few targets to mass against the tankers.

Less Tankers holding too much fuel for offload to fighters/bombers at one point.
STRENGTHENING THE NETWORK AT THE EDGE
More KC-390s create cells of coverage; the tanker is a “tower” the ability to cover portions of other cells in the event a tanker falls out or is attacked.
More tankers = more “towers” = more resilient networks
THE JET ADVANTAGE
The KC-390 millennium Advantage EQUATION:
HIGHER SPEED + LONGER RANGE + HIGHER ALTITUDE + LOWER NOISE + higher COMFORT +
HIGHER SURVIVABILITY + HIGHER AVAILABILITY = SUPERIOR MISSION
